FFXIV Fashion Report Guide – This Week | 100 & 80 Points Solution

The contest is renewed every Tuesday. Speaking with Masked Rose at the Gold Saucer (X: 7.2 Y: 7.4), you can get some clues as to the best outfit to show off. After that, you can be judged starting from Friday and check if the outfit you have chosen have proved to be right. Based on the score you get, you can receive two types of rewards:

  • 100 points: 60.000 MGP + “Fashion Leader” title
  • 80 points: 60.000 MGP

The Fashion Report of FFXIV is one of the best ways to get MGP (the Gold Saucer’s currency). In addition, accumulating points in the Fashion Report also unlocks access to some rewards in Kasumi’s shop (who can be found directly next to Masked Rose), some of which are quite popular fashion items, such as the Spring Bottoms. If you aim for items like this, dedicate yourself to the Fashion Report every time you have the chance so you can buy these exclusive pieces.

Items needed for this week’s Fashion Report

Please read below for a step-by-step guide to scoring 100 Points and tips for quick and easy 80 Points. Most of the items listed can be crafted, bought from the NPC markets or from the Market Board (the latter alternative is generally the most expensive, though). The dyes, on the other hand, are often sold by NPCs in the markets of the three main city-states. By clicking on the names of the items, you will be redirected to the Gamerescape website so you can check how to obtain the item in question.

FAQ about Fashion Report

What is the Fashion Report in FFXIV?

The Fashion Report is a weekly event in Final Fantasy XIV where players are tasked with dressing their character to meet a specific theme. You can earn MGP rewards by achieving high scores (more here).

How do I get 100 points in the FFXIV Fashion Report?

To get 100 points in the Fashion Report, you must wear the required outfit and use the correct dyes. My complete guide provides all the necessary combinations to score the maximum points each week.

What dyes do I need for 100 points in the FFXIV Fashion Report?

Depending on the week, you might need specific dyes for certain pieces of your outfit. Check the required dye list in my guide for the best options to achieve 100 points.

How do I score 80 points in the FFXIV Fashion Report?

Scoring 80 points is easier than reaching 100 points. You can achieve 80 points with alternative outfits, even if you don’t meet the exact criteria for 100 points. My guide offers the easiest combinations to help you reach 80 points.

Can I earn MGP rewards with 80 points in the Fashion Report?

Yes, you can earn MGP rewards for scoring 80 points in the Fashion Report. The amount is the same as for achieving 100 points, which is 60.000 MGP. For tips on getting both, check my step-by-step guide.

What happens if I don’t complete the Fashion Report this week?

If you miss a week of the Fashion Report, you won’t be able to earn the MGP rewards for that week. However, you can always check back for the future FFXIV Fashion Report guide and stay updated on the weekly themes.

The Fashion Report resets every Friday at 1:00 AM (PDT) and is available until the following week. Be sure to complete the Fashion Report before the week’s end to maximize your rewards.

The Fashion Report NPC is located in the Gold Saucer. Look for the NPC named Masked Rose (X: 7.2 Y: 7.4) to begin the weekly challenge and get the requirements.

Will submitting the same outfit multiple times result in different scores?

No, submitting the same outfit without any changes will not result in a different score. It will only deplete your four chances to earn points.

How do I know if I’ve used the correct dyes?

Make sure the correct dyes are applied to the right gear slots. Double-check that the dye names are exactly as required for the Fashion Report.

Does glamoured gear count towards the Fashion Report?

Glamoured gear counts towards the judging process, but gear that is glamoured over will not count. Also, as of Patch 7.4, Job and Level restrictions on Glamours no longer apply. This means that any Job at any Level can glamour on any other exclusive class gear.

What should I check for the rings?

Check that both Ring slots are filled. If one of them is a themed slot for the week, make sure you’ve equipped the specific ring required for that slot.

What gear slots need to be filled for maximum points?

All gear slots (including accessories) besides the Off Hand slot must be filled for maximum points. Ensure that all available slots are filled, and that even non-hint slots have gear equipped.

How can I get help if I’m having trouble with my score after using your FFXIV Fashion Report Guide?

If you need assistance, please post a screenshot of your score from the judging cutscene from the Masked Rose. This will help me identify and resolve any discrepancies more effectively.

  1. Thank you very much for the help! The April one worked wonders and you’re a lifesaver now that Kaiyoko retired from the report. Have a great day and best wishes to Italy from Mexico!

    1. Heartfelt thanks for your kind words, Sally! I’m truly glad this guide was helpful. Have a great day, you too, and best wishes from Italy! – Mark

  2. Unfortunately, it seems like Hroth-M can only get 99%? Because I followed the same as my wife, who is a Lala-F, and they got 100% while I maxed out at 99%

    1. Sorry to hear that! It is my first time hearing that sort of “race” block. I think there might just be a mistake somewhere in your equipment. How many attempts do you have left? Would you happen to have a screenshot to share? To be sure, please also double-check what follows:

      – Check all slots are filled except off-hand
      – Check that even non-hint slots are filled.
      – Check that both rings are filled
      – When using dyes, make sure they’re in the correct dye slots
      – Check your dye names to make sure they are the same or the right type
      – Glamouring items count for the hint slots and dyes

      Hope this helps. Fingers crossed!

  3. “80” points only results in a score of 77. Had to get the Velveteen Coatee of Crafting in Ice Blue to get up to 80 points.

    1. Thank you so much for pointing that out! Sorry for the oversight — I had forgotten to include it. I’ve updated the guide now. 😉
